A taste of Ephesians 2

As we get ready for our first “Man-Camp” at VOX City Church.  It struck me as I signed men up last night that in God’s mercy we are tasting a morsel of what Paul spoke about in Ephesians 2.

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace,” Ephesians 2:13-15

In Cape Town, a still heavily divided city along racial and economic lines – we have Xhosa, Tswana, White, Venda, Namibian, American, Zimbabwean Coloured & Indian coming together to drink beer, smoke cigars, play touch rugby, eat meat and discuss biblical manhood.  Included in this mix is a guy who lives in a tent in a local park.  This is a beautiful picture of the gospel being good news to a divided city.

Here some thoughts on the gospel as good news to Cape Town in the areas of Racial Reconciliation & Economic Inequality
