JZ for president?!

Stephen Murray over at …daylight, has been posting on A White Responsibility Neglected? and the discussion had made me think where is our hope as Christians really found? 1 Peter 2v11 talks about us being “strangers and aliens” in this world. Those who do not regard this world (or this age) as our true home. Those who have a “living hope” in the “grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed.” (1v13). Peter calls us citizens of another Kingdom, and in that kingdom is our hope, trust, joy and security.

But this is just talk…. I know so many people who have great cerebral faith about the coming Kingdom and our hope in that day. But has this hope really found its ways into our hearts, our dreams, our aspirations, our hopes. I understand the panic many South Africans feel over Jacob Zuma (I have concerns myself) but does it really affect my hope, joy and security if he is our president. God is still on his throne, he is still sovereign, in control, good and loving. Nothing is out of his hand… not even Jacob Zuma.
